Steve Henry, Director

An actor, director, musician, composer, scenic artist, and playwright, Henry is a stage veteran of over forty years, appearing in such productions as: The King and I, A Christmas Carol, Death of a Salesman, and Brighton Beach Memoirs. He is as comfortable behind the scenes as on stage. He has been recognized for his set designs for Pirates of Penzance, Peter Pan, and local productions saluting composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. He appeared both in front and behind the camera in a decade of television shows.  A classic rock singer and musician, Henry shares his talents in the theater's recording studio with those students interested in guitar, drums, and song writing. He is a licensed and certified teacher. Most see Henry as a visionary, whose approach to the world of live theater is filled with ambition, experimentation, and a drive for innovation. His love of Broadway is evident in the design of his own theater which stands as a tribute to his work. A former soccer player and years as a high school and college coach, as well as a sky diver, Henry wants to be thought of as a teacher first. His philosophy is to provide his students with every opportunity to explore their full potential. As he has so often been quoted "The arts provide the opportunity to find out who you are and how you fit into the world around you'.
