The following is a letter written by Chelsea Gorsline, one of the founding cast members of our theater.
"My life before Curtain Call was a quiet one. I was shy and uncomfortable with my health problems. Curtain Call provided the opportunity to think critically about myself, my role in this life and the importance of communication. I gained invaluable listening and observational skills that have gone far beyond the stage and into my everyday life, most notably my academics. I am currently studying through the Honors College at the University of South Florida in their 7 Year Advanced Medical Honors Program to one day attend USF's College of Medicine. Yet, theater also opened my heart to the world of arts and the power it can have in building communication skills, self esteem, social skills and an undying love for any form of art. Curtain Call and the never-ending educational work that Steve Henry contributes to this community embodies the intangible awe that art possesses; I am forever grateful for my eight years studying the beauty of the theater".
